The Swensen Gang

Brian's parents were able to come and visit us for Carter's baptism, then stayed for another week. We tried to show them the sights of Tennessee. We played at the Hands On! Children's museum (where we forgot the camera), spent an afternoon at Fun Expedition, and another day in Gatlinburg at WonderWorks. We had so much fun with them and look forward to seeing them again, who knows when?

After the baptism.

WonderWorks

This is the front of Wonderworks. It's an upside down building and when you go inside...

...even the ceiling looks like the floor. It's a really fun place to play with so many activities!

We got to go to the Wonders of Magic show and afterwards, the kids got to meet Terry Evanswood, the magician. There is also a museum of magic and while we were in there, Terry was walking around and Carter asked if he could show Terry a magic trick. He is a really nice guy and said yes so Carter asked him if he had a dollar. (He's a bold child!) He didn't, but he had a $5 so Carter "taught" him a trick that he made up. Terry said it was pretty good and then taught Carter a magic trick with the $5. It was really neat to see him interact with Carter and make him feel special. Carter has a new ambition...he's going to be a magician! We walked away with a poster, a magic coloring book, and this incredible levitating rope. The kids have had a ball practicing magic.

Terry with the levitating rope, teaching the kids how to use it.

The kids each laid on the bed of nails. Those were sharp little buggers!

This was fascinating! As you walked through the mist, you could see your reflection in it.

Whitney would make a really cute astronaut!
This had to be my favorite part. I was so mesmerized by this odd little room! So was Kemery, this was her favorite place to play.
Fun Expedition
Mini Golf is always fun. The kids love the part in the dark where everything glows!

This was a huge 4 player air hockey table. If I had a better camera you'd see it better, but the kids had a great time playing with grandpa!
