It was so nice to be in our new home this Christmas! While it's been crazy, it's been a great time. We did things a little differently this year. We asked the kids, "if you could pick just one big gift this Christmas, what would it be?" Hillary chose and iPod touch, Carter wanted a 3DS, Whitney wanted an American Girl doll, and Kemery didn't really get it. So, they went into Christmas pretty much knowing what they were getting. There were a few surprises. Santa brought 2 new DS lites for mommy and daddy and an electric scooter for the family. Carter got a football that he has enjoyed as well. Santa also brought some new movies, but somehow goofed up on Carter's. So mommy tried to be sly and stick one in his stocking. However, I failed to remove the shipping receipt. OOPS!
Grandparents gave the kids some great gifts as well. Carter got a fun remote control car, and the girls all got new dresses and hats from the Swensen side. The Nelson side came through with American Girl things for all the girls, and sweet Nerf gun for Carter.
I had a hard time finding my Christmas spirit for a while, things are just busy and stressful right now with being the YW president, but it was a wonderful holiday!

Super cute pics of all the kids - I especially love Kemery and Whit's new dresses - what dolls!! And speaking of dolls - so many dolls in that house - what fun!
